التركيب والخصائص الدوائية

الجرعات وترتيب الإعطاء

Composition and pharmacological properties.
Ear drops Leopard for dogs and cats contain diazinon as an active ingredient – an organophosphorus compound of intestinal action, which has a pronounced insectoacaricidal activity on arthropods of larval and sexually mature phases of development of insects and ticks parasitizing on dogs and cats, including against the causative agent of otodectosis. The auxiliary components included in the drops: prednisolone, glycerin, etc. have an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effect, reduce tissue edema.

Indications for use.
Ear drops Bars are prescribed to dogs and cats for the treatment and prevention of otodectosis (ear scabies).

Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug. It is forbidden to use the drug in animals with perforation of the tympanic membrane.

Doses and order of administration.
Before treatment, the auricle and ear canal are cleaned of scabs and impurities with a swab moistened with the preparation, and then instilled shallowly into each ear: for cats and small dogs – 3 drops of the preparation, for medium dogs – 4, for large dogs – 5 drops. For the purpose of a more complete treatment of the entire surface of the auricle and the auditory canal, the auricle is folded along and slightly massaged at its base. The treatment is carried out twice with a 5-7-day interval until the animal’s clinical recovery, confirmed by microscopic examinations of scrapings. Repeat treatment if necessary. Drops must be injected into both ears, even in cases of defeat by otodectosis of only one.

Side effects.
When using the drug according to the instructions, side effects and complications are not observed. With increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and the manifestation of allergic reactions (itching, increased salivation, vomiting), its use is stopped.

Special instructions.
If ear drops “Bars” get on the skin or mucous membranes of a person, the drug should be washed off with a stream of water or removed with a swab.

Storage.
Store the drug in a place protected from light and moisture, out of reach of children and animals, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 to 25 ° C.
